"Throughout my life, I have experienced many seasons of suffering. In the span of just six months, at the age of 11, I lost my mom, grandma, and great-grandma. In the years that followed, I lost contact with most of my family and was moved across the country, away from the people I loved, during an already difficult season of life. Now, I face the pain of being disowned by my family for following Jesus and seeking to live in obedience to His commands.
Yet through every hardship, one thing has remained certain: Christ has used my suffering to strengthen my faith and draw me closer to Him. For A Purpose exists to share stories like mine—to remind others that, although we cannot control our circumstances and may be caught off guard by God’s providence, we can trust the One who is sovereign over everything. Even in the deepest of suffering, God promises that He is using it all for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28)."
