Join Teresa For A Purpose
Throughout the making of “For a Purpose,” I have gotten to see clips and snips of what was going on as the film is being developed. In seeing these, I have felt so much encouragement from watching the trials of others, and how they were leaning on the Lord.
These trials often seem insurmountable, but seeing the dependence and trust in the Lord, guiding each person through these life altering situations certainly does help me understand that life is not always fair, but God is always good.
Just a few months ago, my sister (pictured above on the right) went in for a surgery that was serious but it was not expected to be life-threatening. Prior to taking her to the hospital, I reached out to my Facebook prayer warriors, asking for prayer for her during this surgery. God answered my prayers, but not in the way I was expecting. She did not survive.
I recently realized that in my process of grieving, I had not hit the “angry” phase---one of the stages of grief that we are told we should expect to experience. I experienced profound sadness and miss her with every fiber of my being, but I had not been angry with God----or anyone else for that matter.
I have chosen to be thankful for each and every day I had her. I believe clinging to my faith, and knowing that our temporary separation is just that…temporary, have helped me to choose love over anger, faith over fear.
I believe this movie, “For a Purpose” will show you the human side of many who have experienced significant trials, and also offer you encouragement to face the trials, as you see the Lord working through these, and the blessings you will receive if you can open your heart and eyes.
