New Trailer Released!

We are excited to announce the release of a new trailer! In the final scene, Dr. Jeff Myers of Summit Ministries says, "God is telling a story, in and through all of history...and that is the story that I am in."

Imagine living with that perspective and understanding. Trusting in God's bigger plan and purpose even when the road ahead is unclear.

In our film, Steve Saint shares a story of five missionaries who gave their lives trying to reach a remote tribe with the Gospel. Nate Saint (Steve's father), Jim Elliot, Ed McCully, Pete Flemming, and Roger Youderrian could have never imagined all the ways God would use their sacrifice for His greater purpose. Those missionaries and their families demonstrated an inspiring walk of faith, trusting in God's greater plan even when could fully see it. Our film is filled with inspiring stories of faith like this.

I have been so inspired by the lives of those who share their stories with For A Purpose: Hope in a Broken World. Through the struggle, the pain, their walk and the way they believe that God never wastes a hurt. The way God has transformed their lives. It's a privilege to be used to help share their stories---God's bigger story of how He is working. Loss leads to gain. Pain is a pathway to a deeper faith and relationship with Christ. Suffering helps clarify what real hope is.

The production has come a long way, and we are so grateful for those who have sacrificed to help get us here. At the same time, our path ahead remains a steep climb! As we work to have this film finished by year's end, our biggest financial hurdles lie ahead. The cost of editing, a musical score, color grading for the film, a narrator and the remainder of our cinematography for the b-roll. (Those items alone come to $50,000.)
