An Experienced Voice of Wisdom and Hope

Jamie Rasmussen has been a pastor for nearly 35 years. During that time, he has had a front row seat to watch Christ work in hearts and transform lives. He has seen the incredible hope that can come through suffering. "My congregation shows me through their lives all the time what God can do," said Jamie.
He is a teacher, a preacher, an author, and the leader of one of the largest churches in Phoenix. Pastor Jamie has served as a shepherd and spiritual counselor to countless individuals, couples, and families. One thing he knows for certain is that whether you're rich or poor, on top of the world or at rock bottom, none of us are immune to suffering.
We are honored to welcome Pastor Jamie, senior pastor of Scottsdale Bible Church, as one of the newest cast members of For A Purpose: Hope in a Broken World. His extensive experience, compassionate heart, and the faithfulness of his own walk with God bring an important voice of hope and a valuable perspective to the inspiring stories in our film. He understands the subject matter on both a personal level and a theological level.
"God is taking the foolish things of this world, the weak things of this world, the broken things of this world to show that the absolute power and glory of God is what it’s all about," said Pastor Jamie. It's something he has personally seen time and time again!
Pastor Jamie breaths life into the film in a meaningful and powerful way. We're truly excited to have him in the film.
